Licensure and Education
I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida (MH7053) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (#86745). My background includes holding a professional educator’s certificate in Guidance & Counseling (PK - Grade 12) from the state of Florida Department of Education from 1994 until retiring as a school counselor in 2019. In addition, I am certified in clinical hypnosis (#R9888) by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH).
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University and my Masters in Counseling from the University of South Florida. I have worked in the field of counseling since 1991.

I am committed to helping you attain your goals in the briefest amount of time, within an atmosphere of respect, competence and collaboration.

I believe that you hold within yourself the answers that you are seeking based on psychological and spiritual resources that are present within you and the ability of these resources to bring about positive change. It is my job as your therapist to assist you in tapping into these resources and answers.

I believe that we are physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual beings. Each of these areas may be addressed in therapy to bring about maximum benefit. A Christian perspective is provided on request.

I believe that the client-counselor relationship holds a sacred trust and this connection in and of itself brings about healing and growth.
